Welcome to the SSCA!!

In an effort to help alleviate the confusion involving registrations; We are presenting here, a guide to hopefully help clear up the process of what a Team/Driver needs to do, in order to participate in a SSCA Event.

One thing that should be made clear right off the bat. We place a big emphasis on Team Owners to have their drivers prepared come race day. This includes having the latest downloads for the mod/track and everything is put in it's proper place.

We have created a "Team Owners" section in the forums, to pass on information concerning race day, practice schedules, etc.. Come race day, we give out the game server password, what server will be used, the name and IP of the server, etc. It is important that once you have registered your team for an Event, that you make sure it is known to Len Okell that you need access to this section of the forums. More on this later.

***Note: For those drivers out there that are not on a team but would like to register with SSCA, in order to participate once a ride is found, you can do so by following the instructions in Step 3 listed under "Free Agents".

Step 1: Sign up and register with the forums

Self explanatory

Step 2: Select a car number

Once you have registered with the forums, you will need to make sure the car # you would like for your team is NOT already taken. Go to this thread titled: Car Numbers Here !

We try and keep this thread as up to date as possible, but it is a good idea to scroll the pages to make sure your desired # is available. Once you have determined that your # is unique, you will then need to lay claim to that # by following the directions in the first post.

Step 3: Registration

Sign your team up by going to the SSCA main page and clicking on the Registration tab: Car Registration Page
Fill out all the information related to your team (this is also where you will confirm your car's #).

In filling out the information on this page, you will notice two sections here: One lists "Team" and the other list's "New Team".

The "Team" list is for an established team that has raced with us before and wants to enter another car (whether it be GT or LMP). Here they would look for their team's listing by using the right arrow to bring up a list that can be scrolled through to find that particular team name.

Those entering an Event for the first time, would enter their desired Team Name into this section called "New Team" and fill in the rest of the information. This form will then be sent to the Admin and we'll add your team's name to the list.

Once your Team has been added to the SSCA's list, you can then add teammates at anytime, but would need to be complete before raceday (this applies to both established and new teams). If you want to add additional drivers to this list, you can either do so yourself or have your driver do it. They will go to the same page listed above and once the information is filled out....click on the "Team" section, select your Team and click "Submit"

**"Free Agents"**

For those people that would like to register with SSCA but have not found a ride yet. Just fill out the form the same way that is posted above. On the line that says "Team", click on the arrow and scroll down until you find "Free Agents", left click on that and once you have filled out the rest of the information, click "Submit".

Step 4: Signing up for an Event

SSCA runs 6 Events a year. Usually at the completion of an Event, there will be some downtime before another Event will begin holding sign-ups. Sign-ups for an upcoming Event usually takes place 7-8 weeks before the start date and will run for 4-6 weeks or until the field is full (40 cars entered is the maximum field). This may be subject to change later on, but for now....this is our method. You can follow the schedule of races to be run and their sign up dates by going to the SSCA main page and clicking on the Schedule tab: Schedule

Once sign-ups commence, the Team Owner will then need to proceed to this section of the forums and look for the Event sign-up thread located in the "Announcements" column: Endurance Series Announcements, Registration, and Logistics

Then follow the instructions to fill out a request to participate. Once you have completed that, you will then need to make arrangements for your entry fee to the provided address. Once your payment is recieved, you will then have an "Approved" or "Payment Recieved/Pending-Test" listed above your request.

Explanation of Approved or Payment Recieved/Pending-Test:

To be listed as Approved:

1) You have provided your entry fee and it has been recieved.

2) Your an established team who has raced in our Events before.

To be listed as Payment Recieved/Pending-Test:

1) You have provided your entry fee and it has been recieved.

2) Your Team is new to racing at SSCA. In order to participate in our events for the first time, your team will need to have a test with an Admin. This will allow us to determine that your drivers can compete at a high level. They need to be able to show that they can maintain pace and can race cleanly while doing so. If you recieve this message (Payment Recieved/Pending-Test) above your request, you will need to contact Len Okell (Team Owner Coordinator) for a test session. He will then go in further detail as to what is what required and when a test can be scheduled.

Step 5: After payment has been recieved

Once your payment has been recieved, you will next need to proceed to this thread titled:Team owners stand up

This thread is designed to give the Admin an idea of who needs access to the "Team Owners" section of the forums. ONLY Team Owners that are listed on the sign-up page are eligible to gain access to this section. If your name is not listed, do not bother asking for access!

**Note:

This only applies to new teams entering an Event for the first time.

If your part of an established team, but your Team Owner has been changed, you will also need to respond in this thread as well. You will then need to state what Team you represent and who was the prior Team Owner. That Team Owner will then need to contact Travis Bailey via PM, that he/she is stepping down and that your name should now be listed as Team Owner. If for some reason the prior Owner cannot contact Travis, the Owner that is assuming responsibilities will need to contact Travis via PM to explain the situation, etc.., before gaining access.

Step 6: Get your drivers prepared

As mentioned in the first part of this guide, we put the responsibilities on the Team Owners to have your drivers prepared come race day. You will need to continually check the forums for the newest downloads, etc., as well as the "Team Owners" section for any new updates. If there are questions that you need answered, Len Okell is the man you need to see or you can ask in the forums as well. However, Len Okell is your main contact and is the man to get in touch with should you require assistance that cannot be answered in the forums.

If you have any questions that you feel have not been addressed in here, or feel that something should be added.......please post a comment in this section of the forums and we'll do our best to get it answered.

Best of luck to all the Teams out there and may the Asphalt Gods be kind to ya!!
