ring_results - SSCA Endurance Series

The 2008 SSCA Endurance Series is underway following a stunning event at the Nurburgring. The 8hours at the Ring marked the beginning of what is set to be a great season of endurance racing.

With 2 different event winners in the LMP class already and a selection of some of the strongest teams in simracing attending, the LMP class lived up to it's hype as Ghostspeed Racing took the victory after 8hours of intense racing in their #12 Audi R8. In the early stages of the race they were fighting it out with the #20 Torrent Motorsports Audi R8 who came home in 2nd, whilst KR3W Racing in the #42 Pescarolo C60, the only C60 entered rounded out the podium.

Up until the Nurburgring event, RC Motorsports had dominated the GT class in their Corvette C6. And despite recording yet another victory, they were pushed much harder this race, by both the Simracing for Holland #51 and Orion Racing #66 entries. The race went right down to the wire as a late problem left RC nervously waiting for the finish line. The #51 SFH Corvette finished 2nd in their first SSCA event whilst Orion Racing rounded out the podium in the Aston DBR9.
