Allen cut his teeth in racing sims many years ago in games like Microprose Grandprix and Grandprix Legends before finally discovering online racing. He joined SimRacing.Org.UK in 2005 apprenticing with team 28CD Motorsports driving Simbin’s GTR sim. Not satisfied with only racing GTR, 28CDMotorsports moved their base of operations to Race2Play in January 07 where Cotton has been racing rFactor, GTR2, GT Legends, Race 07 and ARCA. Allen has enjoyed some success at R2P winning 3 championships and holds 2 track records. Allen is about to complete 20,000 raced miles at R2P and says he loves his racing and hopes to continue with 28CDMotorsports for a few years yet.

Maurice had always been interested in simracing when he was younger, but only got into simracing when he bought a wheel in 2002. He started out with oval racing using Nascar Racing 2002 and moved on to Nascar Racing 2003 right after the release. After a disappointing attempt to prove his skill online he decided to move on to road racing sims. The chosen sim was GTR by Simbin which was only a demo version at that time. He played the demo until the release of the full game in spring 2005. After the release on GTR he signed up at SimRacing.org.uk - starting out racing solo - and joined the 28CD Motorsports team in early 2006. At Race2Play Maurice has raced with GTR2, rFactor, GT Legends, Race07 and ARCA Simracing and enjoyed various personal successes.

TPG S3 is the first competitive racing in any form for me.
I jumped in head-first and did the GT, G3 and GTL.
Other than that, I’ve always been interested in racing.
Although my true love has always been MotoGP.

After havin’ played the NFS series for a few years, I came across something on the internet about “simulations” and how much more realistic and hard they were. Read alot of good stuff on GTR, so I went to the store and picked it up. Played that for a couple of weeks then started researching wheels. During my research I discovered a new game on the horizon… GTL… would be hittin’ the shelves in a couple of months.
So I ran the 360 at Brno for that time in Sim-mode to force myself to learn about settin’ up the car and driving w/out aids. GTL came along and I forced myself to run thru the single-player game in Sim-mode before I even ventured into Multi. I figured this was the best way to make sure I wouldn’t be one of those wrecker/race ruiners that I kept reading about. During all this, I discovered RSC and the rank sites. RSC led me to TPG and by the time GTR2 came out I was comfortable w/racing multi in the public domain and had been considering/interested in joining a GTL league. Fortunately, TPG had it all and I’ve been racing ever since.

First personal info, 38 years old, married, 3 kids ages 10-14.  I work as a Computer Operations Supervisor for Payless Shoe Source in Topeka, KS.  I have a degree in Technology Administration from Washburn University, I also served in the US Army from 89-93.

SIM info, I have been driving SIM’s for just over 3 years.  I started with F1C and quickly picked up on GTR.  I joined TPG Racing as a League Admin in their Season 2 and have been actively involved in the community ever since.

I am never the fastest guy on track, usually middle of the pack talent wise, but when given time to prepare I can drive a solid race with only minor misques.

Recently won the AusTeamRacing Amnet 2007 Christmas Classic using NR2003.

I started sim racing like many with Gran Turismo 2/3/4 and also another driving game on the PS2 by Option Video magazine. Once introduced to GTR 1 I was hooked and soon purchased a Logitech MOMO (black) and later a set of Advantage 1 pedals to replace the crappy Logitech items. This lead to rFactor, then GT Legends, then GTR2 and now Race07. I have been in several leagues in all of these sims & was the GTR2 league director for Triple P Racing.

I’m now running a Bi-turbo Porsche for Gazelle MotorSport. The team is semi fictional in that I don’t have a professional racing team, but I do have a Nissan Gazelle that Vance Le Garde & I have begun doing timed sprint events at a local racing circuit. I’m using my experience from both sim racing and the Gazelle to further my tuning knowledge of both.

In 2005 I Joined my first league, the PORRS GTP series, and raced for 2 seasons there finishing in the top 3 both times. I ran several races in MNRL, but didn’t have enough time to do races every week. I Filled in for Frosty in a couple SSCA races around the same time. I also drove the PORRS team car in the WOSEC endurance series, sadly we never finished a race. I switched to team Northstar Racing and we had a good first race of the season in WOSEC, but things went south with the league. Ever since then I hadn’t been doing much racing until SSCA made the move to rFactor and I’ve been helping out and racing here ever since.

DOB:

Ivar is the founder of Racing League Norway, who later changed name to Racing League Nordic. He finished 2nd in 04/05 season, and finished 2nd again in the 06/07 season. He also won the Porsche Carrera league Nordic the same season.
Ivar is born in Bergen, Norway and is currently living in Skien, Norway. He began simracing back in the ancient ages, but got serious when Racing league Nordic got started. He also attended the 6 hrs. at the Glen, where his team was running 3rd in the LMP class when they got disconnected.

Ivar’s comment:
Ivar is a bit slower than Petter but often scores on being very stable and making almost no mistakes. He seldom has the fastest laps in the races, but always gets his car to the finish and scoring good points on that. Ivar is sometimes a bit hot-headed, and is known to be a bit optimistic in his overtaking attempts, and have caused quite a few incidents due to this.
Standings in Racing League Nordic:
Season:
04/05: 2nd
05/06: 4th
06/07: 2nd
